Whidbey Island Distillery’s local picked Blackberry Liqueur will be released for sale on August 3rd 2019.  Tastings and bottle sales will be available in our tasting room while supplies last.

Three summers ago, Whidbey Island Distillery set out to embrace the abundance of the Whidbey Island wild blackberries. The island is covered in blackberries, but they couldn't imagine picking all the berries needed to make a batch of their world-renowned Liqueurs.  They found the answer to the problem: “We asked the Whidbey locals to provide us with the berries, and the community responded by delivering over 300 pounds of beautiful local blackberries in past three summers.”  “We’ve donated $2.00 per pound for the picked berries, and the money has been donated to Whidbey Island nonprofit organizations.  The Homeless Coalition and Ryan’s House have been two of our largest beneficiaries.”  The following summers when the liqueur is bottled Whidbey Island Distillery, donates an additional $2.00 per bottle to the nonprofits.

Whidbey Island Distillery is now accepting local berries, for next year’s summer release in 2020, all summer, from 9:00 to 5:00 daily, until the berries are gone.
